How am I supposed to do that, exactly?

This makes me laugh.

I mean, sure, it's a classic IT joke, but I just had to giggle when it happened to me.

I was rearranging computers and got the mouse and keyboard cables mixed up on my KVM switch.

Yes, I'm a wally.

Highlights - Halloween

Halloween in Canada is a much bigger deal than in Australia.
Pumpkins get carved, houses get decorated, people get dressed up and party...

Meet Queen Elizabeth I.

And her Orc bodyguard

And who is that sexy thing standing in the middle?

"Boo!"

Her Maj. on the the throne.

Just don't say his name three times or you'll be stuck with him all night...

Zombies!

More Zombies!!!

Never fear! Mrs Boggs, the school principal is here to sort them out.
(No, I wouldn't mess with her either...)

Time to go Trick or Treating!

Of course we had to take a Canadian with us to show us how it is done.
Yep, they don't come more Canadian than Jen :-)

"Look - I know where I'm going - we don't need to pull over and ask directions, ok?"

Trick or treating at the mall.
All the shops were giving away yummy treats - a lot less cold than outside.

Speaking of outside - time to hit the neighbourhood.

Lots of people went to heaps of effort to decorate.

Sometimes even more than they did for Christmas :-)

So we're all looted up - time to head home and count the spoils.

And boy, were there spoils :-)

Entering Stealth Mode

I'm shutting down my mail server now.
The @thefowlers.homeip.net addresses won't work again until we get home (sometime after 04-Jan-08)

I will still have my gmail address: mark.just.mark@gmail.com which I might check between now and then, but no guarantees.

Shampoo's running out

So here we are just a week and a half before we fly back to Australia, and my bottle of shampoo is empty.

Luckily, I've been collecting the little bottles from all the hotels we stayed at during our holidays :-)

Yes, that's a sample of Hummer cologne.

I too can smell like I'm trying to overcompensate...

Time's running out...

Wow - it's been over 11 months now.

The Fowlers will be heading home to Sydney in just a few more weeks.

Mark has one week of work left.
Delle and the kids have just two weeks of school left.

(sniff) We're going to miss Canada...

Summer Hols West - Icy Strait Point

Icy Strait Point
(Ok, so this is from forever ago, but hey - at least I'm doing it :-)

Nah, it doesn't look very icy, does it?

But they did have an awesome zipline (flying fox).

Weeeeeeeee!

Splat!

This dude is carting in a bunch of logs for the tourist fire.

Where all the tourists burn their symbolic tourist chip of wood.

The beach - not like an Aussie beach.

It's good to have a long arm.

Totem poles.

Tribal dancing.
Hang on - the skinny short dude in the middle looks a bit familiar...

Rusty punchbuggy!

Back on board - the seemingly endless corridor to our room.

Somebody was having a fancy dinner party.
I took this photo just before getting kicked out.

It's the elephant from the Blues Brothers!

Whales!
