Every morning when I drop Delle and the kids off to school, I greet Shirley and Barb in the office.
I've been teaching them the classic Aussie greeting of "G'day, how's it going? Not bad, yourself? Can't complain."
So, today at lunchtime, Delle is in the staffroom and ducks up to the office to get a tissue.
What does she find on the tissue box???
Barb and Shirley, you are so busted!

Glad to see you are teaching the natives how to speak strine.norma
hello frozen fowlers, I was cold just reading your blog. We are heading for the mid thirties this weekend, are we ever going to get the balance right? love kylieg(yes, I know it is amazing, but as of last monday we now have a computer and the interner - the adams' are online)
As a teacher at Delle's new school I must say we are all thoroughly enjoying our new "Aussie" friends. We look forward to the Blog updates as it is really interesting to see how our cultures and terms for everyday things are different. Needless to say Delle and Mark take a lot of good nature ribbing (teasing) from us all. I've never heard our Special K cereal be referred to as 'pieces of air popped bubble wrap' before!
To normaf - I agree Norma's are wonderful! :)
