Summer Hols West - Highway to Okanagan

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way

Lots of avalanches around here so they put these tunnels up for the rocks and snow to flow over rather than taking out the roads.

Plenty of camper vans to get stuck behind on the way.
Scenery's not bad, though :-)

I'm not sure just what this thing was, but it was hooning along the railway track kicking up an awful lot of dust.

Quick stop at Sicamous for a snack and to try to catch up with Mark from school to go boating.
Turns out that we should have called earlier because by the time we got there Mark was out in the middle of the lake somewhere.

Anyway, while we were there, we discovered that the Chemist shops in BC sell something that not even London Drugs has in Edmonton - Fireworks :-)

I don't think that anyone has told them that Greg has retired from the Wiggles...

Anyone need a hubcap?

The further into the valley we went, the more it looked like the Hunter Valley in Australia.
Just swap the pines for gum trees and you'd be set.

Looking across Lake Okanagan to Kelowna.

Mr. Mark....

The fact that you know that one of the Wiggles has retired, scares the be-gee-bee's out of me!!!

We miss you alot and hope you are having a blast seeing more of this great country of ours! Heck, more than I've even seen!

I'm sure Mark could replace a wiggle! He will need to know their songs if he babysits Riley when he gets home! mumnorma
