Summer Hols West - Icefields Parkway

Heading down the Icefields Parkway from Jasper.

(No roof - mountains - spectacular!)

Quick stop at Athabasca Falls. The water is just a little bit more lively than last time we were here.

An old-school blogger.

Ooh look! A rainbow.
Some points to note:
1) "Somewhere over the rainbow" is the lookout on the other side of the river.
2) At the end of the rainbow (just next to the trees on the left) there was no pot of gold. There was, however, a little man dressed in green drinking a Guinness.

Back on the road. More spectacular views.

Who is following us in that strange Suzuki with the Aussie flag number plate?

Picturesque.
(That's why we took a picture of it :-)

Last time we were here, there was a lot more snow.

And this is what Delle risked life and limb to take the photo.

Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.

The Columbia Icefield.

Complete with snow busses and stuff.

Hey Stu, do you recognise this hill?
This is our awesome toboggan run with no snow on it.

Keep on moving - Bow lake.
Very greeny blue.

Next stop, Lake Louise...
