Summer Hols West - Jasper

On to Jasper.
Stop off at the William A Switzer Provincial Park for BBQ dinner.

Somebody let their cows loose in the Jasper National Park, just out of town.
Funny horns on the cows round here...

We checked out the Maligne Canyon walk - lots more water and lots less ice this time of year.

See if the kids can swim in freezing rapids :-)

Keep on hooning up the road.
(Sorry - only car shot this post.)

All the way to Medicine Lake.
(Which looks considerably fuller than last time we were here - and a lot less frozen too.)

More lakes - this is Maligne Lake - further up the road.
(see - no car shots at all.)

Time for a snooze.

On the way back down the mountain, we saw the rare Black Mountain Goat.

Drinks at the Fairmont Resort, Jasper.

Dinner at Earls.
(Dunno about whether there should be an apostrophe in "Earls" or not - they don't use one, so I won't either.)

Followed up with some comedy in the park before bed.
